ABOUT MRS. ELLIFRITS

Hello! My name is Mrs. Ellifrits. I am so excited to have you in my class this year!

I grew up North of Kansas City in a small town called Smithville, MO. Smithville is a community just like Oak Grove where its members support the schools and have pride in their town. I graduated in December of 2018 with a degree in Elementary Education. I joined the OGE family in 2019 for my first year of teaching, and I am so excited to be apart of this community for another school year!

My husband, Sam Ellifrits, teaches English and coaches football at Oak Grove High School. We have three dogs: a yellow lab named Clara, a black lab named Gunner, and a Boston Terrier named Junie B.

On the weekends, you will find me taking my dogs to the dog park, antiquing/redecorating our home, watching movies, shopping at target, and spending time with my friends and family!

As the school year begins, I cannot wait to get to know YOU more!

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

My teaching philosophy is that love and encouragement combined with adequate teacher knowledge, skills, strategies, and tools can change a student’s life in a positive way intellectually, emotionally, and socially. It is our job as educators to instill a love of learning in our students and teach them to seek knowledge through their everyday life experiences.
